This role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into the details, and brings a strategic mindset to using data for better business decisions. You’ll work closely with finance leadership, gain exposure to high‑impact projects, and have the opportunity to grow into a lead or manager role as our accounting function scales.
What You’ll Do
Manage daily accounting operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
Lead day-to-day accounts receivable activities, including preparing customer invoices, processing payments and monitoring aging reports to support timely collections.
Process accounts payable invoices for administrative and non-service related vendors, and assist with the service provider payables process as needed.
Review and classify corporate credit card transactions to ensure compliance with expense policies and budget guidelines, aligning entries with accounting software.
Prepare and post month-end journal entries with proper coding and supporting documentation.
Perform account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies to maintain general ledger accuracy.
Assist with financial statement preparation, including variance analysis and identification of trends against the budget and financial model.
Contribute to the development of financial forecasts, and preparation of the annual budget.
Maintain and update accounting schedules, spreadsheets, and reports for internal tracking and management review, including conducting thorough reviews of shared systems to ensure data integrity and consistency.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through technology advancements, and assist in evaluating, implementing, and optimizing new tools and systems.
Uphold strict confidentiality of financial data and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal accounting policies.
Support ad-hoc financial requests or special projects as assigned.
What You'll Need to Get the Job Done
5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a high-growth environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices.
Proficiency with QBO and strong Excel skills, including advanced functions and formulas.
Demonstrated ability to perform data and variance analysis, build forecasts and financial models, and identify trends and areas for strategic improvement.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with proven organization skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance and operational teams.
What Will Make Us Really Love You
You operate with confidentiality, integrity and a commitment to maintaining strong internal controls.
You bring a growth mindset, seeking opportunities to improve processes, leverage technology, and increase efficiency.
