The HR Generalist plays a vital role in supporting day-to-day HR operations, from managing employee data and onboarding new hires to handling benefits, compliance, and employee relations. This position ensures a seamless employee experience by maintaining accurate records, coordinating training, and supporting recruitment and performance programs. The HR Generalist helps foster a positive workplace culture, providing guidance to employees and managers while driving consistency and compliance across all HR processes.

Responsibilities:

HRIS & Data Management

  • Oversee and maintain the HR Information System (HRIS) to ensure accurate, up-to-date employee data and seamless system functionality.
  • Generate reports and analyze key HR metrics such as turnover, headcount, and training participation to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with IT and leadership on HRIS enhancements, integrations, and process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding
  • Coordinate and execute an engaging onboarding process that ensures new hires have a smooth transition into the company.
  • Conduct new hire orientations, manage onboarding documentation, and serve as a point of contact for employee questions.
  • Oversee offboarding activities, including exit interviews, final pay coordination, and retrieval of company property, ensuring compliance and professionalism.

Employee Relations & HR Support

  • Serve as a resource to employees and managers by providing guidance on HR policies, benefits, and workplace issues.
  • Support and participate in employee relations investigations, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with employment laws.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture by promoting open communication and consistent policy application.
  • Training & Development
  • Partner with managers to identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities for employees.
  • Organize and track training sessions to ensure compliance with company standards and employee growth initiatives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Compliance & Recordkeeping

  • Maintain accurate, confidential employee records in alignment with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Ensure company policies, employee handbooks, and HR procedures are current and compliant with labor laws.
  • Support audits, reporting requirements, and other compliance initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a human resources generalist or similar HR role.
  • PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficient in HRIS management, data entry, and reporting; experience supporting system upgrades or implementations a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to make sound, independent decisions while following established policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

  • This position is based full-time in our Lindon, UT corporate office.
  • Ability to work at a computer and desk for extended periods of time.
  • Comfortable communicating with team members and partners in person, over the phone, and through company communication platforms (e.g., Google Chat, email).

  • Proficiency in office software (Google Workspace).
